South Africa

London Briefing. We prepare you before you go. County, medical and project briefings.

Arrive: George Airport - Knysna. Airport pick up. Welcome and safety briefing.
Week 1+ Introduced to your Clinic or hospital. Placements depend on the level of experience you have. We have static clinics where you will provide vital assistance to the existing medical staff. Both in monitoring, primary care or health education.

Ecuador

4 week placement.

Hospital Placements: Ideal for specialisations in a clinical environment. UK predeparture briefing, meet the team. Airport collection in South America. Then Monday to Friday in your allocated hospital or clinic. Assist the doctors and senior medical team. Practical Medical experience. Secure accommodation. In country staff to give you support. Weekends free to explore. Departures every month.

These placements are ideal for volunteers with limited or no medical experience.

As a pre-university volunteer the tasks you are assigned will reflect your level of experience, however with an enthusiastic attitude you will gain far more hands on experience than you would in the UK.
