City Centre or Remote Village: You choose your Dentistry placement.

We offer you hands on experience on professionally run dentist placements. For example, come and work on the Red Cross dentist program. In this example placement you will be assisting the Red Cross in their effort to improve dental healthcare in Quito's surrounding areas. Split between our unique mobile dentist and static clinics.

Typical Week: Two or three days a week, you will accompany the mobile dental clinic that goes out to rural communities around the capital that often have little or no medical facilities.
Two to three days you will assist in the Red Cross' medical centre, which provides vital Dentist care and treatment. Accomodation in our house with our Leader or homestay, meals included.

Dental Elective Example: South America 

Ecuador is the second-smallest country in South America, there is a vital requirement for professional Dentists. Combining tropical rainforests, glaciated volcanoes, and beautiful coast lines, its natural range of offerings is amazing. Ecuador's capital Quito is a vibrant and modern city, with an impressive selection of museums, festivals, and nightlife. In addition, Quito has one of South America's best preserved colonial centres, and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

You can work in remote locations or in city centre poly clinics. Your placement is agreed before you leave the UK. Our staff meet you on arrival and provide 24/7 backup. Accomodation and "Welcome Tour" are included. You will be providing dentistry support and hands on assistance subject to your level of experience.
